It depends on what was said. Telling everyone something that is a lie, or an exaggeration can cause problems for the Alliance. If other Alliances issue Special Actions to find out the truth, they can show your Alliance up as liars and untrustworthy.
An Alliance only makes announcements for a reason, so it is up to them to decide whether a few lies or exaggerations are in their interests. Announcing moderated information in the Newsletter or on the Forum is not allowed.
